Maintenance

Chapter 10

Press [Open]

and lift up the scanning

unit

CAUTION

• Do not touch the round shaft

transparent film

absorber (sponge part)

parts.

Use a dry cloth to wipe away any stray
drops of ink, scraps of paper, and dust,
especially from the black panel

Close the scanning unit until it locks into
place.

Reconnect the power cord and turn on
the power.

Cleaning the ADF area

Turn off the power and disconnect the
power cord from the wall outlet.

Open the feeder cover.
