In [Drum] under [Amount Remaining in the Cartridge to Display Warning], specify the amount
remaining in the drum cartridge to display the message, then click [OK].

If you are using a drum cartridge that is not a Canon product or the amount remaining in the drum

cartridge cannot be detected correctly, it is possible that no message will be displayed.

Disabling Message Display

You can disable display of the message [The drum cartridge needs to be replaced soon.] by doing

as follows: Select Printer Status Window's [Options] menu [Device Settings] Clear the [Display

Cartridge Replacement Notice] check box in the [Warning Display Settings] dialog box.

[The drum cartridge has reached the end of its lifetime.]

This message notifies you that the drum cartridge has reached the end of its lifetime. It is recommended that

you replace the drum cartridge with a new one. You can continue printing, but the print quality cannot be

guaranteed.
