IMPORTANT

Copying and Mail Box Guide

Saddle stitching is not performed if there is only one output sheet.

Saddle stitching can be performed only if the optional Saddle Finisher-W2 is attached.

The accuracy of folds created in the Saddle Stitch mode may vary, depending on the
type and quantity of paper.

When printing on special types of paper, such as heavy paper or transparencies, be sure
to correctly set the paper type, especially if you are using heavy paper. If the type of
paper is not set correctly, it could adversely affect the quality of the image. Moreover, the
fixing unit may become dirty, or paper could jam, and a service repair may be needed.

If you set the Booklet mode for jobs that contain both one-sided and two-sided pages, all
pages are printed two-sided.

The Booklet mode cannot be used with jobs set with the Forced Secure Watermark
mode.

The Saddle Stitch Booklet mode can only be specified for the following paper sizes: A4,
A4R, A5, A5R, B5, B5R.

The Saddle Stitch Booklet mode cannot be set if multiple jobs are selected, and their
record sizes are different.

The Saddle Stitch Booklet mode cannot be set if multiple jobs are selected, and their
resolutions are different.

The Booklet mode cannot be used with documents with resolution of less than 600 x 600
dpi.

The Saddle Stitch Booklet mode cannot be used if multiple page ranges are set for a
selected job.

NOTE

If you want to print documents for use as a saddle stitch booklet, we recommend that you
scan the originals using the Booklet Scanning mode.
