Hold Queue

A submitted job is stored in the Hold Queue. Jobs in the Hold Queue have already 
completed the RIP (Raster Image Processor) process. You can output any job that is 
stored in the Hold Queue.
There are two main ways to place jobs in the Hold Queue.
One way is to send jobs (with print settings) from editing applications or the imageWARE 
Prepress Manager, via the printer driver. The other way is to send jobs (with Job Ticket) 
from the JM Hot Folder Manager or the imageWARE Prepress Manager via the 
imageWARE Print Job Manager.

NOTE

A hold job is automatically erased from the Hold Queue after a certain period of time. The 
time until a hold job is automatically erased is three days from the last performed 
operation, such as submitting the job. You can change the time until auto erase from the 
Additional Functions screen. (See Chapter 6, "System Manager Settings," in the 

Reference Guide

.)

Additional jobs cannot be stored in the Hold Queue if either of the following is true: (The 
numbers below may vary depending on the remaining capacity of the hard disk.)
- When a total of 1,500 documents or images are stored in all of the inboxes and the 

Hold Queue.

- When a total of about 6,000 pages of documents or images are stored in all of the 

inboxes and the Hold Queue.
