Receiving Documents Manually with an 
Extension Telephone (REMOTE RX)  

Extension Telephone (REMOTE RX)  

 Remote reception enables you to use an external telephone connected to the machine to 

receive faxes manually. This can be useful when the machine is not nearby or is being used 

by someone else.

The default setting is <ON>, and the default remote reception ID is <25>. 

 Activating Remote Receive Mode

 This function is not available when   <ENERGY IN SLEEP> in <COMMON SETTINGS> is set to <LOW>. 
 The machine switches to the document receive mode after the external telephone rings for a specifi ed time, if <MANUAL/AUTO> of 
<RX SETTINGS> in <FAX SETTINGS> of <TX/RX SETTINGS> is set to <ON>.
