sides of the upper unit to ensure that it is securely closed.

Cleaning the Pickup and Feed Rollers
Use the following procedure to remove and reinstall the pickup and
feed rollers during cleaning or replacement.
CAUTION
Do not use excessive force when removing or reinstalling the rollers.
Doing so may damage the rollers, resulting in feed errors.

Carefully raise the upper unit until it stops.

Lift the roller cover and pull out and downwards.
IMPORTANT
When opening and closing the roller cover, be careful not to
touch the glass (staple detection window). If the glass gets dirty,
staple detection accuracy is degraded.
