Cleaning Out Excess Ink (Pre-Imprinter)

When using the pre-imprinter, document pages are transported while 
the ink is still wet, so the platen roller and scanning glass will pick up 
ink, eventually resulting in streaks in images or soiled documents.
Therefore, when using the pre-imprinter, regularly wipe any ink from 
the rollers and scanning glass with a moistened and well wrung-out 
cloth.

IMPORTANT

If excess ink is not removed, streaks will appear in images, and 
documents will be soiled. Clean up excess ink carefully and regularly.
• When scanning many documents daily, clean after approximately 

every 10,000 pages.

• In any case, we recommend cleaning at least once at the end of 

each day.
