The CPU (CI1) of the ADF controller PCB receives commands from the host machine on
print mode (e.g., magnification, operation mode, timing), and sends drive pulses to the feed
motor in response.
The feed motor is a stepping motor, and the direction and speed of its rotation are changed
by changing the order and the frequency of its drive pulses (OUTA, OUTA*, OUTB,
OUTB*).
