- If the treated water is flowing into a open reservoir then it is recommended that a loop
with a vacuum breaker to be installed on the outlet line. This would eliminate the chance of
causing a vacuum condition on the tanks when water is flowing into the reservoir as well as
preventing the water in the units from siphoning down when not in operation. If the units
did drain down, it could lead to operational issues for the system.
- If the system requires treated water regeneration, additional room will have to be left open
for additional valves. Usually if it is a softener system, a three ball electric ball valves are
required. If it is a filter system, normally only two electric ball valves are required.
