7.4 Installation in a radiation shield

1. If using a 10- or 14-plate shield, attach the shield extender.

2. If using a RAD06, RAD10E, or RAD14 shield, loosen the nut on the entry gland at the bottom

of the shield.

3. Insert the sensor into the gland.

4. If using an unventilated shield, first tighten, by hand, the nut on the radiation shield gland

until the sensor is held firmly in place. Then use the large adjustable wrench to further
