Wheretriggeringincidentsoccurtwiceinsuccessiononlywithinthedetectionrangeofthe

sensorzone.Atalaterstagewhenthewildanimalﬁnallyentersthedetectionrangeofthe

centralsensorzoneanddesnotmoverapidly,thephoto(basedonthestandardreaction

timeofonesecond)willprobablycapturetheentirebodyoftheanimal.

7.7.Nightrecording

DuringnightrecordingtheinfraredLEDs(IRLEDs)

atthefrontoftheWildlifeCameraprovidethelight

requiredfortakingphotos.

WildlifeCamerausesIRLEDswithalongwavelength,

tokeepredlighttoaminimum.Theprovidednumber

ofIRLEDsgeneratesahighdeﬂectionanglethusallowingnightrecordingatadistanceof

3mto20m,withoutoverexposingtheobject.Reﬂectingobjectscan,however,alsocause

overexposurewithinthisrange(e.g.roadsigns).

PleasenotethatnightrecordingusingIRLEDsproducesblackandwhiteimages.
