eithertriggeredbymovementsensorsorat

intervalsaccordingtotherespectivesetting.

TheredstatusLEDﬂashesforapprox.5seconds

afterwhichthecameraoperatesautomatically

andenterstheStandbymode.

Assoonaswildanimalsorotherobjectsdirectlyenterthedetectionareaofthecentral

sensorzone,thecamerastartstorecordphotosandvideos.

Wherewildanimalsenterthe

detectionrangeofthesidesensors,thesensorsdetectthemovementandactivatethe

camera.Assoonasthewildanimalsmovefurtherintothedetectionrangeofthecentral

sensorzone,thecamerastartstotakephotos/videos.

Whereaftermovementhasbeendetectedbythesidesensorsnofurthermovementis

detectedforﬁveminutes,thecamerareturnstoitsStandbymode.

AdvantagesofPIRsensors(PassiveInfraredSensors)

Inordertosaveonbatterypower,aninfraredcameraisnormallyinStandbymodeinwhich

onlythemainsensorisactive.Assoonasthecentralsensorzonedetectswildanimals,the

cameraisswitchedonandstartstakingphotos.Thetimebetweentheactivationandthe

startofshootingisreferredtoastriggeringtime.

Wherewildanimalsdo,however,movepastthecameraswiftly,itispossiblethatthephoto

onlyshowstherearpartofthebodyorpossiblynothingatall.TheWildlifeCamerasolves

thisproblemduetotheuniquedesignofthelateralPIRsensorzone.Thecombinationofthe

twolateralsensorzonesandcentralsensorzoneproducesa100°-120°inductionangle,by

farexceedingtheangleofanindividualsensor.

WherewildanimalsﬁrstpassthroughthedetectionrangeofthesidePIRsensorzone,the

cameraisactivatedandisreadytostartshootingafter0.4seconds.

Wherethewildanimalthenslowlyentersthedetectionrangeofthecentralsensor,the

camerastartsshootingandthusrecordstheentirebodyoftheanimal.Thisprocesstakes

approx.0.2seconds.Wherethewildanimalremainsonlywithinthedetectionrangeof

thesidesensorzones,thesystemisdesignedasfollowstopreventthepermanent

supplyofpowertothecamera:
