Chapter 5:  PTP 820S Management 

UTC Support 

 

UTC Support 

PTP 820S uses the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) standard for time and date configuration. 
UTC is a more updated and accurate method of date coordination than the earlier date standard, 
Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). 
Every PTP 820S unit holds the UTC offset and daylight savings time information for the location of 
the unit. Each management unit presenting the information (CLI and Web EMS) uses its own UTC 
offset to present the information in the correct time.
