Preventing Freeze Damage
Winter Weather Care: The chill spa is designed to operate year round, the insulated chill spa is
able to resist changes in ambient temperature in most climates. As long as the unit is running
during the cold months of the year the spas internal pump will maintain a steady temperature. To
ensure the chill spas can maintain temperature first, rinse your filter with running water, reinstall
filter, sanitize and balance your spa water, and lastly secure the your spa cover over the chill spa to
maintain spa temperatures.
Long Term Storage:
If the spa needs to be stored away for an extended period of time during the
winter, we do not recommend “Winterizing” your chill spa as damage resulting from winterization
is not covered under warranty.
For further instruction on the typical “winterization” method you may reference page 26.
Winter Weather Care:
First, rinse your filter with running water, reinstall filter, sanitize and balance
your spa water, and lastly secure the your spa cover over the chill spa to maintain spa
temperatures. The spa will maintain flow in the plumbing system preventing water from freezing
inside of the cooling system.
Lowering Compressor Activation: to prevent operation of the chiller during the winter or an ex-
tended period of time without use, you can raise your activation temperature on the InkBird app,
we would recommend to keep it around the 40-50F range to allow a faster cool down once you
choose to use it.
You can follow the procedure on page 14 if you choose to manually adjust the temperature, and
press the up arrow instead and set within the recommended range.
If this is done we recommend making a note of this on the back of the user manual. You will need
to adjust this again to your preferred temperature.
NOTE: Do not set temperature below 39F
