2.5.4 On-Screen Indicators
In Basic Mode, there are several indicators that provide status during play. These indicators provide the
time, battery level and satellite signal strength as shown below in Figure 21.

The first two indicators are self explanatory. The satellite strength indicator provides status on the state of
the GPS. When the GPS is locked (obtained a position fix) then this indicator will show between one and
five bars. If the GPS has not obtained a lock then another set of red graphics with the letters “SAT” will be
displayed until a lock has been achieved.
TIP:
The satellite signal strength indicator provides an indication that you are in Preview
Mode during simulated play. This indicator will be oscillating between one and five bars
repeatedly while in Preview Mode. To obtain actual distances on the course you must be in
Play Mode. Switching between Preview Mode and Play Mode can be accomplished
through the Mode selection option of the Settings menu.
