UVC fluorescent tubes are mercury vapour lamps with a low mercury content. It is very unlikely
that a glass breakage will have negative effects on your health. Nevertheless, you should take
the following measures immediately in the event of glass breakage:
1) Switch off device immediately.
2) Pull power plug.
3) Ventilate room well for at least 30 minutes.
4) Close doors to adjacent rooms and corridors.
5) Leave room during ventilation.
6) Continue to ventilate while removing the fragments.
7) Loosen screws on the housing cover with suitable tool.
8) Remove housing cover.
9) Remove fragments and broken fluorescent tubes with gloves.
10) Hold fluorescent tube with one hand.
11) With the other hand, press the red button on the lamp socket completely until the
fluorescent tube can be easily removed upwards.
12) Remove fluorescent tube.
13) Put all fragments in a plastic bag and seal it airtight.
14) Carefully pull both reactor honeycomb plates out of the mounting.
15) Remove splinters from the reactor honeycomb plates.
16) Remove splinters in the lower part of the device around the fan.
Use a vacuum cleaner if necessary.
