Keeping the Insertion Tool in place, insert wire (28 AWG minimum, 18 AWG maximum) into the wire hole

CONNECT GUARDIAN TO PROGRAMMING PC

Connection to a Guardian is established through an RS-232 (straight through) or (non-null)

cable connected to the

setup port of the Guardian and the COM port of the PC.

3.5

GUARDIAN FIELD PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE

Operating characteristics of the Guardian are configured by the Field Programming Software. Offline Diagnostics
and Online Diagnostics give access to Offline Diagnostics and commands (local and remote) and online diagnostics
monitoring. Programming software is Microsoft Windows® based and requires a Windows 95 or newer operating
system. Context sensitive help and printable help files are provided with this program.

The Guardian requires the use of the Field Programming Software for configuration, adjustment and diagnostics.
