I/O Connectors
This chapter describes the I/O connectors located on the device front and rear
panels, their corresponding pinout and the functionality of each signal.
4.1
Absolute Encoder Interface
The two D-Sub DE-9 female connector, annotated with “ABS 1” and “ABS 2”
provide an interface with RENISHAW RESOLUTE™ encoders. The front-end
electronics will provide a 5V output to power the encoder electronics and will start
reading the encoder position over BiSS two-wire communication protocol.
