Click the “Connect to WiFi Router” icon.  When a screen appears and asks “Please
select your WiFi router”, click on your router’s SSID, key in your router’s password, then
click “Apply”.  (Please be patient as SmartNode needs about a minute to connect to
your  WiFi  router  and  another  minute  to  reboot.)    Click  Refresh  if  you  don't  see  your
router’s SSID on the list.

Note  (a):    After  successful  connection  to  your  WiFi  router,  SmartNode  will  remember  the
router’s SSID and password (unless you have intentionally unmarked the default “Remember
Settings”  during  connection).    So  if  you  were  to  switch  off  and  on  SmartNode,  it  will
automatically re-connect to your WiFi router, taking about 2 minutes.

Note  (b):    After  successful  connection  to  your  WiFi  router,  you  may  not  be  able  to  use
“http://10.10.10.10” to access your SmartNode anymore.  Nonetheless you can still access it
using the IP address assigned by your router.

Note (c):  You may need to reboot (or unplug the Ethernet cable then plug in again) your
PC/laptop to connect to the SmartNode.  You may need to enable Enhanced Compatibility
if you are using Windows 7 with certain brands of WiFi routers.

Use SmartNode as a WiFi Repeater

Once the WiFi connection from the SmartNode to your main router/AP is established you can
connect your WiFi devices like laptops and smartphones through the SmartNode SSID. These
devices will obtain an IP address from the main AP/router and should be able to access the
Internet from farther locations previously unreachable by your WiFi signal.

Configure SmartNode as a WiFi AP

SmartNode  can  also  be  configured  as  a  WiFi  Access  Point  to turn  a  regular  modem-router
into a WiFi capable networking device to connect WiFi-enabled devices such as laptops and
smartphones.
