3.4 CHECKING THE INSTALLATION

With power on at the MMAC and the attached stations, check that the red
ERR LED on the TRMIM-62A is not lit, and that no error conditions exist
at the attached stations. The green LNK LEDs should be illuminated for
each station that is inserted into the ring as well as the corresponding
yellow PEN LEDs for ports that are enabled. The yellow 16Mb LED
should be on only if the TRMIM-62A is running at 16 Mbps.

The TRMIM-62A is now ready for operation. Before placing the network
into service, test the installation thoroughly to ensure that all stations can
be addressed and that data is being relayed without error. Verify that the
networking software is configured properly to match the installed
network.

If these conditions do not exist, proceed to Chapter 4 for information
about troubleshooting the installation.
