Chapter 13 Level 2 Table Manager Error Messages
This chapter describes the error messages for the Level 2 Table Manager facility.
Informational Messages
-L2TM-I-CLI_ACK <command_name>
Explanation:
This message appears as acknowledgment of a successfully completed L2
configuration command (e.g. successful address filter registration).
Recommended Action:
Informational Message. No action necessary.
Warning Messages
-L2TM-W-ADD_L2_ENTRY add L2 entry failed (<number>; port
<port_name>; vlan <id>; mac <MAC_address>)
Explanation:
This message appears when a MAC address could not be added to a port's L2 table.
Recommended Action:
This occurs if ALL the MAC addresses in a port's L2 table are management entries not
to be deleted, therefore preventing dynamically learned MACs from being installed.
-L2TM-W-BAD_PORT request to perform an action on an invalid port
(Port <port_id>; <port_name>)
Explanation:
This message appears when a layer-2 action (e.g. age MAC addresses on port-x) was
requested on an invalid port.
