Appendix B

Installing Software

The FRX4000 supports these operations for software transfer and 
updates:

●

File backup and restore, used to copy files between the 
FRX4000 and either a locally attached PC or a remote 
FRX4000 or FRX6000.

●

Remote file transfer, used to copy files from one FRX4000 to 
another.

●

Remote software update, used to install an entire software 
release from  remote FRX4000.

Backup operations  are described  here in case you want  to 
back up a database before installing new software.

 at the Operations  Menu (or

 from the  Main Menu) to 

display the following list of backup and restore operations:

Back  up the Current Database  to  a Remote  FRX6000

B

Back  up the Current Database  to  a Remote  FRX4000

C

Restore the Backed-Up Database to a Remote FRX4000

D

Back  up the Database  to  a Local Directory

E

Restore the Database to a Local Directory
