Chassis Configuration Screen

DLEHF-MA User’s Guide

Interface Modules and HSIMs are bridged to each other. When the 
operational mode is set to 802.1Q SWITCHING, the DLEHF-MA acts as 
an IEEE 802.1Q switch. The module is able to increase its switching 
functionality by creating and maintaining port based Virtual LANs 
(VLANs). To set the operational mode, refer to Section 5.7.7.

5.7.1

Setting the IP Address

To set the IP address, perform the following steps:

1.

Use the arrow keys to highlight the IP Address field.

2.

Enter the IP address into this field using Decimal Dotted Notation 
(DDN) format. 

For example: 134.141.79.120

3.

Press ENTER. If the IP address is a valid format, the cursor returns to 
the beginning of the IP address field. If the entry is not valid, the Event 
Message Line displays “INVALID IP ADDRESS OR FORMAT 
ENTERED”. Local Management does not alter the current value and 
refreshes the IP address field with the previous value.

4.

Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command, then press 
ENTER. The “SAVED OK” message displays indicating that the 
changes have been saved to memory.
