4.2 USA Compliance for FCC and Industry Canada
The following paragraphs describe requirements and information based
on FCC rules, and are applicable to the SBUPRI-23 only. The
CBUPRI/E1 is not approved for use in USA or Canada.
4.2.1 FCC Rules, Part 15
The SBUPRI-23 card has been tested and comply with the limits for a
class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial
environment. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instruction manual, can cause harmful interference to radio
communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is
likely to cause harmful interference, in which case the user will be
required to correct the interference in the user’s expense.
CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS NOT EXPRESSLY APPROVED
BY CABLETRON SYSTEMS COULD VOID THE USER’S
AUTHORITY TO OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT.
4.2.2 FCC Rules, Part 68
4.2.2.1 FCC Part 68 Registration
The SBUPRI-23 card complies with FCC Rules, Part 68. On this
equipment is a label which contains, among other information, the FCC
Part 68 registration number.
