- Do not pull the power supp ly cable to unplug it, but grasp it with your fingers to extract it from the mains
power socket;
- Store and use the device and all its parts in places protected against the weather and far from any sources of
heat. After each use, it is recommended to store the device in its carrying case away from dust and sunlight.
- In general, it is inadvisable to use single or multiple socket adapters a nd/or extensions. Should their use be
necessary, you must use ones that are in compliance with safety regulations, however, taking care not to
exceed the maximum power supply tolerated, which is indicated on the adapters and extensions.
19. For repairs, contact only the Manufacturer technical service department or technical service centre authorised by
it and request the use of original spare parts. Failure to comply with the above can compromise the safety of the
device
20. This device must be used exclusively for its intended use and as described in this manual. Therefore, it
must be used as an aerosoltherapy system. Any use differing from the intended use is considered to be
improper and therefore dangerous and neither the Manufacturer nor the Distributor can be held responsible for
damages caused by improper, incorrect and/or unreasonable use or by the connection to electrical systems not
compliant with current safety standards.
21. The medical device requires special precautions regarding electromagnetic compatibility and must be installed
and used in accordance with the information provided with the accompanying documents. The
KIWI Plus
device must be installed and used away from mobile and portable RF communication devices ( mobile phones,
transceivers, etc.) that may interfere with it.
22. Children and dependent people must always use the medical device under the strict supervision of an adult in
full possession of mental faculties.
Do not leave the device and its accessories unattended in places accessible to children and/or the disabled.
23. Do not leave the power supply unattended in places accessible to children and/or people not in full possession
of their mental faculties as there is a risk of strangulation with the electric cable.
24. The medical device may come into contact with the patient via the nebuliser / masks / mouthpiece / nosepiece,
components compliant with the requirements of regulation ISO 10993-1, therefore, no allergic reactions and
skin irritations may occur.
25. The product and its parts are biocompatible in accordance with the requirements of regulation EN 60601-1.
26. Operation of the dev ice is very simple and therefore no further explanations are required other than those
indicated in the following user manual.
27. ATTENTION : Do not modify this device without the authorisation of Manufacturer. None of the electrical or
mechanical parts of the device have been designed to be repaired by the user. Failure to comply with the above
can compromise the safety of the device and, therefore, of its use.
28. Use of the device in environmental conditions other than those specified in this manual may jeopardise the
safety and performance of the device.
29. The materials in contact with the drugs are thermoplastic polymers with high stability and chemical resistance,
widely used in the medical field. However, given the variety and continuous evolution of the used drugs, it is
not possible to exclude interactions and, therefore, it is suggested to:
- Always consume the drug as quickly as possible after its opening
- Always avoid prolonged contact of the drug with the appropriate tray container (Mesh Chamber)
and
immediately carry out the cleaning procedures after each application
- Should abnormal situations (e.g. vitrification or cracks) in the medication chamber arise, do not introduce any
solution and do not perform inhalation. Contact the technical service specifying the method of use and the
type of drug used.
30. Remember:
- Do not use the product to nebulise liquids/substances that are not drugs prescribed by your doctor
- Carry out the aerosol treatment by respecting the proper way to perform it, the doses and combinations
indicated by the medical specialist, using only the accessory recommended by them, based on the disease to
be treated.
