There must be an RCD between the grid in house and the Mini ES.

There must be an RCD on the emergency load distribution plate from the Mini
ES.
2.5 Basic Safety Information
This chapter contains the basic safety instructions. Failure to observe the safety instructions
in this manual may result in accidents which can lead to serious injury and/or death as well as
serious material/property damage.
2.5.1 Risk of fatal Injury

Risk of fatal injury due to lack of assistance
A second body can switch off the power supply and provide assistance in the event of an
accident.
- Only if a second person is present, could there be assistance in any case scenario
Risk of fatal injury due to disregarding safety Instructions
If the safety instructions and/or the sequence of Steps for installation are not followed, the
product may be damaged permanently and electrical accidents with serious personal injury may
occur.
- Consult the safety instructions.
- Note the sequence of steps for installation.
Risk of fatal injury due to residual voltage in inverter
The capacitors of the inverter built in to the Mini ES may still have residual voltage even after
the device has been switched off.
- Shut down all external and internal switches and ensure they will not be switched back on.
- After switching off the device, you must wait for 10 minutes at least before touching any
components.
Risk of fatal injury due to electric shock from battery
Batteries have a high short-circuit current. When they are handled incorrectly, it can cause an
electric shock and even lead to serious injury and/or death.
- While working, remove watches, rings and other metal objects.
- Use tools with insulated handles only.
- Do not place or store tools, (or other metal objects) on the batteries.
Risk of explosion due to the use of incorrect battery types
If the battery which is used in the device is not approved, it may cause explosion.
- Only use batteries that have been approved by the manufacturer.
