194 7-1 Instructions for Maintenance
Circumstances Where the Vehicle Needs Repair

Pay attention to changes of the vehicle's performance and sound, as well as intuitive
signs indicating the demand of inspection and repair. Some important conditions are
as follows:

There is an unexpected noise when motor is getting started.

Coolant is overheated all the time, stagnated or leaking;

The motor jams and produces unexpected noise.

The motor runs with excessive vibration;

The motor fails to get started.

There is fluid leaking in powertrain.

There is an odor from powertrain.

The power significantly reduces.

Fluid drips underneath the vehicle, which might indicate a leak (except for dripping
after using air conditioner);

There is a flat tyre, an unexpected noise from the tyre when the vehicle is turning
a corner, or uneven wear on the tyre surface.

The vehicle deviates to one side when straightly running on flat ground.

There is an unexpected noise arising from the displacement of suspension system.

The brake system fails to work, there is a soft feeling like sponge from brake pedal
or clutch pedal, the pedal almost falls on floor, or the vehicle moves off tracking
when being during braking.

There is a continuously rise in temperature of motor coolant.

The battery capacity significantly decreases.

The battery is at a continuous high temperature, triggering overheating protection,
or has no power output.

If any of these situations is found, drive you vehicle to a BYD authorised service
provider for adjustment or repair.
