CONTROL OF THE DSPXmini-FM BY RS232
If you wish to use the RS22 to control the DSPXmini-FM follow the steps below
1. Connect the supplied serial cable to the rear RS22 port
2. Navigate to the ‘REMOTE SOURCE’ parameter (also in system) and select the serial option
. Run the DSPXmini-FM remote application and you will be presented with a connection screen (see image).
Select the COM port on your computer that you have plugged the serial cable into
. A password needs to be entered, regardless of password settings on the DSPXmini-FM itself. A password still
needs to be entered even if the passwords on the DSPXmini-FM have been disabled.
. Click connect on the application and you should receive a ‘please wait’ box while the information is retrieved
from the DSPXmini-FM. Once connected you are then free to control the DSPXmini-FM with the remote appli-
cation. Further information on the remote application is contained on the following pages. If the DSPXmini-FM
remote application does not connect or disconnects after a few seconds then it could be that the password is
incorrect. The default password for the DSPXmini-FM is 779. You are free to change these on the DSPXmini-
FM itself (see information on password control elsewhere in this manual)
NET/LAN PORT
The DSPXmini-FM is equipped with a NET/LAN port for ease of remote control, setup and monitoring.
CONTROL OF THE DSPXmini-FM BY THE NET/LAN PORT
If you wish to use the NET/LAN port to control the DSPXmini-FM follow the steps below
1. Connect a cat cable to the RJ port on the DSPXmini-FM and plug this into your network hub/switch. A
Xover cable can be used to connect directly to a PC if you don’t have a switch or hub.
2. . Navigate to the ‘REMOTE SOURCE’ parameter contained in the system menu on the DSPXmini-FM and
select the Network option.
. Run the DSPXmini-FM remote application and you will be presented with a connection screen (see below) .
Select the Ethernet option.
. A password needs to be entered, regardless of password settings on the DSPXmini-FM itself. A password still
needs to be entered even if the passwords on the DSPXmini-FM have been disabled.

PASSWORD ACCESS
The DSPXmini-FM contains two levels of password control, a high level password which blocks access to all
areas of the DSPXmini-FM and an ‘Output’ level password that allows access to all areas of the DSPXmini-FM
