2.4. Calibrating the Dairy Feeder System
Now you have connected the hardware and software with the existing weighing equipment. To
ensure that the system works precisely, then you have to calibrate both systems to each other
again.
A system can only work as well as it has been calibrated.
Please ensure that the feeder mixer wagon is completely empty before beginning
calibration.
Please first ensure that the existing weighing equipment at the feeder mixer wagon is
recalibrated. To do this, follow the description of the weighing equipment of the feeder
mixer wagon.
Calibration of a new system using a sample weight.
To calibrate the Dairy Feeder system with your existing weighing equipment, calibration is
necessary. All you require for this is a reference weight against which you calibrate the machine or
the system. Ideally this should be between
500 kg and 3,000 kg , depending on the size of the
mixer wagon (the higher the reference weight, the more precise the calibration). First put the
calibration weight to one side because the calibration process begins with an empty feeder mixer
wagon.
