DANGER
Ensure that the seatbelts
are not loose or able to become trapped in
any moving parts, particularly the wheels.
This applies also when the cargo bike is
ridden without a child in the seat.
DANGER
Always use the seatbelts
and ensure that the children are restrained
in the seat.
MAINTENANCE
Removing a seatbelt from the child seat
Ɂ Remove both cushions from the child seat
to expose the seatbelt attachment points.
Ɂ Remove each seatbelt end from the slots at
its attachment point (For the strap holding
the 5 point buckle, you will also have to
remove it from the plastic adjustment
buckle).
Reinstalling seatbelts

Ɂ Remove the child seat from the cargo bike.
Ɂ Remove the cushions (

) from the seat.
Ɂ Install the ends of each seatbelt in
the correct locations according to the
illustration i.e. install the seatbelt end
marked (

), using the
technique shown in detail (

), and so on.
Ɂ Ensure that the seatbelt is securely
installed: pull on each of the 5 attachment
points and check that the straps do not
loosen as you do so.
Ɂ Replace the cushions.
Option 2 — One seatbelt in the middle
Ɂ Remove the child seat from the cargo bike.
Ɂ Remove the cushions (

) from the seat.
Ɂ Install the ends of the seatbelt in the
correct locations according to the
illustration

Ɂ Ensure that the seatbelt is securely
installed: pull on each of the 5 attachment
points and check that the straps do not
loosen as you do so.
Ɂ Replace the cushions.
Ɂ Store the unused seatbelt for future use.
Reinstalling cushions
The cushions are attached with velcro for easy
removal and re-installation.
When reinstalling the cushions, ensure that:
Ɂ the seat cushion (

) protrudes 1 cm in
front of the seat shell
—
this ensures best
comfort for the underside of the children's
knees.
Ɂ the top edge of the back cushion (

) is in
the same height as the slot where shoulder
straps emerge from the shell.
Cleaning
Clean the seat shell and cushions with
lukewarm soapy water only. The seatbelts can
be washed in a washing machine if necessary.
Remove the seatbelts from the seat, place them
in a washing bag and wash at 40° with little or
no detergent. Air dry. Do not tumble dry.
CAUTION
Do not use abrasive
substances or solvents to clean any part of
the child seat. Do not paint or apply decals
to the child seat.
SAFETY WARNINGS
DANGER
Ensure that it is not
possible for any part of the child's body
or clothing to come into contact with any
moving part of the cargo bike. Re-check as
the child grows.
DANGER
Ensure that there are no
sharp objects within the children’s reach.
Do not carry any items in the bicycle’s
cargo box that could cause injury to the
children in the event of a crash.
DANGER
Children in the seat must
be clothed more warmly than the rider and
protected from rain.
DANGER
Check the seat temperature
before seating your child, especially on
hot, sunny days.
DANGER
Do not attach additional
luggage to the child seat. Place any items
in the cargo box, or on a suitable carrier on
the rear of the cargo bike.
DANGER
Do not modify the seat.
DANGER
The cycle may behave
differently with children in the seat,
particularly with regard to balance,
steering and braking. Practice cycling
with children in a safe area outside public
roads.
DANGER
Never leave the cycle
parked with a child in the seat unattended.
DANGER
Do not use the seat if any
part is broken. In case of damage to any
part of the seat, contact an authorised
Butchers & Bicycles dealer to order a
replacement.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Ɂ Before using this product, check whether
there are any laws specific to the carrying
of children in seats attached to cargo bikes
that apply in your country.
Ɂ Always follow local regulations regarding
the use of helmets for children and the
rider when cycling.
