6.
(Optional)
Using an External Power Source
Optionally, you can connect an external 6V DC power source
(not
provided)
to the “DC In” jack at the bottom of the X-8 Trail Cam, under
the rubber pad around the tripod socket
(pg. 6)
. Please be careful to use
a compatible power source, making sure that the voltage, minimum
current rating, and connector polarity are all correct. If both an external
power source is connected and batteries are installed, the X-8 trail cam
will be powered by the external power source.
External Power Source Specs: 6 volts DC, 1000mA (1A) minimum
current, positive tip connector polarity (+ tip/- sleeve).
VIEWING THE PHOTOS and VIDEOS
Reviewing the photos and/or videos your X-8 camera has captured can
be done by one of three methods:
Using an SD Card Reader
1. Push the SD card in slightly to release it then pull it out gently.
2. Put the SD card into any of the widely available SD card readers
(either a dedicated SD card reader or “multi-card reader” that
features slots for several different memory cards, including SD
cards).
3. Follow the card reader supplier’s directions to view or download the
photo and/or video files on the SD card.
