7. SETTING THE IMPLEMENT
7.1 Attaching the Implement
Before attempting to attach the XLRR-I rakes to your tractor, make sure the rake cannot accidentally move by
chocking the wheels.
Position the hitch clevis (1) so that the main rake frame tube (A) is level, as shown in above. The clevis can be
repositioned by removing pins (2&3) and moving the clevis to another set of holes. The clevis can also be
flipped over for additional offset adjustment.
Connect the hitch clevis to the tractor drawbar using a 1” Hitch pin and retaining pin as shown in the right hand
picture above. Make sure the rake frame tube “A” is still level, as shown.
After the rake is connected to the tractor drawbar, turn the crank handle on the parking jack release pressure.
Remove retaining pins (10&11) and remove the jack from the park location. Reposition the jack to the
operating position (see center figure above) and reinstall the retaining pins.
Connect the hydraulic hoses to the tractor’s remote valves.
Remove the safety chocks to allow the rake to move.
Before carrying out any maintenance, adjustments or repairs on the machine, switch off the
tractor engine, remove ignition key, wait until all moving parts have come to a standstill
