Scheinwerfer am Fahrrad mit dem montierten Edelstahlhalter oder einem anderen
Halter sicher befestigen und so einstellen, dass der Gegenverkehr nicht geblendet wird.
Lichtkegel in etwa 10 Meter Entfernung auf die Straße ausrichten. Schrauben so fest
anziehen, dass sich der Scheinwerfer nicht von selbst verstellen kann.
Achtung:
Bei den Modellen ohne integrierten Rückstrahler ist ein zusätzlicher Front-
Rückstrahler am Fahrrad in Deutschland vorgeschrieben.
Standlichtfunktion
(plus)
Die Standlichtfunktion ist immer betriebsbereit, komplett wartungsfrei und funktio-
niert ohne Batterien oder Akkus. Das Standlicht kann abgeschaltet werden, indem der
Drehschalter auf „0“ gestellt wird.
Funktionsweise: Während der Fahrt wird ein geringer Teil der Energie, die der
Dynamo liefert, in einem Kondensator gespeichert. Nach ca. 3 Minuten Fahrt ist der
Konden sator voll geladen. Im Stand versorgt diese gespeicherte Energie die LED im
Scheinwerfer mit dem Ergebnis, dass der Cyo weiter leuchtet. Das Standlicht kann
abge schal tet werden, indem der Drehschalter auf „0“ gestellt wird. Die Restkapazität
bleibt im Kondensator für mehrere Tage erhalten, so dass in der Schalterstellung „S“
bzw. „1“ der Scheinwerfer als Lichtquelle, z.B. im dunklen Keller, genutzt werden kann.
Einschalt-Automatik
(senso)
Die Fahrradbeleuchtung schaltet sich automatisch ein, wenn ein
Nabendynamo
ständig mitläuft.
Schalter auf „S“
Bei Dämmerung und Dunkelheit schalten sich Scheinwerfer und
(Automatik)
Rücklicht automatisch ein. Der Hell-Dunkel-Sensor besitzt eine
Abschaltverzögerung von ca. 8 Sekunden. Hiermit ist eine
zu sätzliche Sicherheit gegeben, da z.B. die Scheinwerfer vorbei-
fahrender Autos den Sensor nicht beeinflussen und das Licht
ausschalten können.
Schalter auf „0“
Lichtanlage leuchtet nicht. Standlicht im Scheinwerfer ist aus-
geschaltet.
Schalter auf „1“
Scheinwerfer leuchtet permanent während der Fahrt, auch am
Tage, z.B. bei Nebel.

Mehr Sicherheit: 8-Sekunden-Abschaltverzögerung
Der Hell/Dunkel-Sensor (bei senso/senso plus) schaltet den Scheinwerfer mit einer
Verzögerung von 8 Sek. aus, so dass eine kurzzeitige Helligkeit (z.B. aufgeblendete
Autoscheinwerfer) nicht zur sofortigen Abschaltung führt.
Der Scheinwerfer ist ausschließlich zum Betrieb an Dynamos (Wechselspannung)
vorgesehen. Wenn Sie spezielle E-Bike-Varianten des Scheinwerfers für Gleich-
spannungen von 6 bis 42 V benötigen, wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler.
Im Gleichspannungsbetrieb ist der Scheinwerfer verpolt anzuschließen, d. h. das
Massekabel an + und das Stromkabel an —. Wird das Fahrrad kopfüber transportiert
oder gereinigt, so ist der Scheinwerfer abzudichten (z. B. mit einer Plastiktüte), um
das Eintreten von Feuchtigkeit durch die unterseitigen Öffnungen zu verhindern. Der
Überspannungsschutz des Scheinwerfers ist auch ohne angeschlossenes Rücklicht
wirksam.

Anschluss an Naben-Dynamo
Gilt für Modelle IQ Cyo „N plus“, „senso plus“ und „Premium“.
Zwei im Schein-
werfer montierte Doppelkabel unterschiedlicher Länge: das lange Kabel mit dem
Naben-Dynamo verbinden (bei Bedarf kürzen)/ das kurze Kabel (mit Steckern)
mit beiliegendem Kabel oder mit am Rad vorhandenem Kabel mit dem Rücklicht
verbinden. Achtung! Immer auf richtige Polung achten. Schwarze Ader:

(Masse). Achtung! Kabel am Scheinwerfer dürfen nie kom-
plett abgeschnitten werden.
Connection to hub dynamo
Only for IQ Cyo „N plus“, „senso plus“ and „Premium“.
Two duplex cables of
different length are incorporated in the headlamp: connect the long cable with
the hub dynamo (cut as required) / connect the short cable (with integral plugs)
with the enclosed cable or with the cable attached to the bicycle to the rear light.
Caution! Always make sure to observe correct polarity. Black lead:

Assembly
Make sure to securely fix the headlamp to the bicycle using the already attached
stainless steel bracket or another bracket and adjust it in a way to prevent any blind-
ing effect on the oncoming traffic. Align the beam on the road at approximately 10 m
distance. Tighten the bolts so as to avoid unintended misalignment of the headlamp.
Caution:
For the versions not including an integral reflector, road traffic regulations in
Germany require an additional front reflector on the bicycle.
standlight function
(plus)
The standlight function is always ready for operation. It is completely maintenance
free and works without batteries or rechargeable batteries. The standlight function
can be turned off by switching to the „0“ position.
This is how it works: A minor amount of the energy generated by the dynamo is
stored in a condenser while riding. The condenser is already fully charged after rid-
ing for about 3 minutes. While standing, the energy stored is supplied to the LED in
the headlamp ensuring that the Cyo keeps on shining. The standlight function can be
turned off by switching to the „0“ position. The remaining capacity is stored in the
condenser for several days so that the headlamp can be used as a light source, e.g. in
a dark cellar, when set to the „S“ or „1“ position.

Lights are automatically switched on with a

Switch in „S“ position
The headlamp and rear light are automatically switched on
(automatic setting)
in twilight and darkness. The light-dark sensor incorporates
a turn-off delay of approximately 8 seconds thereby providing
added safety because the headlights of traffic driving past,
for example, cannot interfere with the sensor and turn off
the light.
Switch in „0“ position
The lighting system is inactive. The standlight function
in the headlamp is turned off.
Switch in „1“ position
The headlamp shines permanently while riding, also
in daylight, e.g. in case of fog.
Additional information on LUMOTEC IQ Cyo
Enhanced safety: 8 sec. Automatic shutdown delay
The light/dark sensor (on “senso“/“senso plus“) switches off the headlamp with a
predetermined delay of 8 sec. so that a temporary brightness (e.g. car headlights
turned up) will not cause immediate switchoff.
The headlamp is intended for powering with dynamos (AC voltage) only. If you
require a special E-bike version of the headlight for DC voltages from 6 to 42 V,
please contact your specialized dealer. When powered by DC voltage, the polarity of
the connection has to be reversed: mass connected to +, current connected to —. If
the bicycle is transported or cleaned upside down, the headlamp has to be covered
with a plastic bag to prevent moisture from entering through its bottom apertures.
The overvoltage protection of the headlight is effective even if no rear light is con-
nected.
