GAS CONNECTION
Portable GWB 20L
• The gas connection is made using flexible hose (8mm I.D.) complying with BS3212 1991 to
either the bottle governor or the a tap fitted at the end of a rigid pipework assembly. The gas
bottle or isolation tap, must be located close to the appliance so that it is possible to turn on
the gas and light the appliance safely. Turn on the gas and check the installation for sound-
ness.
• The appliance should be securely screwed down onto a flat surface. The gas connection is
8mm O.D. pipe and suitable compression fitting is required to complete the installation. Turn
on the gas and check the installation for soundness.
Note:
The Portable GWB 20L has a round hole in the base panel allowing finger access to block
off the burner injector. This is necessary when completing a full soundness check, including the
appliance’s internal gas circuit. To do this, connect a pressure gauge to the pressure test point.
Confirm the supply pressure is correct and then turn off the gas supply. Whilst blocking the injec
-
tor, depress the control knob and turn to the large flame symbol. If the pressure remains constant,
the appliance is sound.
