ABOUT THE GT GAS
Special Functions
The same special functions are not available for all vehicles. These options cannot be adjusted on-the-fly.
This means that they are set when you install the tune. The only way to change these settings is to start
the Install Download process and choose Change Settings when you are prompted by the GT Gas.
Special Functions available on GM vehicles
Camshaft Variation Relearn
The crankshaft sensor on GMC vehicles is synced to the powertrain control module, or PCM. When the crank sensor
is replaced, it must be resynced to the PCM. The Camshaft Variation relearn special function resets the positional
information in the PCM’s memory and replaces it with updated information from the new crankshaft sensor.
Reset Oil Life
Reset the engine oil life reminder light with this special feature on the GT Gas.
Reset Transmission Oil Life
Reset the transmission oil life reminder light with this special feature on the GT Gas.
Idle Learn Reset
Your vehicle’s engine is electronically controlled by a computer, some control conditions are maintained by power from
the battery. When the battery is disconnected, a new battery installed or a tune is loaded, the engine must relearn its idle
and fuel trim strategy for optimum driveability and performance.
Special Functions available on Ford/Lincoln vehicles
Daytime Running Lights
This adjusts the sensitivity of the daytime running lights.
TPMS
This adjusts the sensitivity of the lights.
Relearn Vehicle Data
This will light the headlight for a time after the doors are closed with the ignition switch turned ON and the light control
switch is at HEAD or AUTO and the headlight is ON.
Smart Unlock Configuration
This function changes the time between when the doors are closed and the lights go off when the light control switch is at
HEAD or AUTO, and the headlight is on.
Transmission Adapt. Learn (resume, stop, hold)
This function changes the time between when the doors are closed and the lights go off when the light control switch is at
HEAD or AUTO, and the headlight is on.
Police Mode
This function changes the time between when the doors are closed and the lights go off when the light control switch is at
HEAD or AUTO, and the headlight is on.
