Using the pannier rack
Crash caused by loaded pannier rack
The vehicle riding performance changes with a loaded
pannier rack
, in particular when steering and braking.
This can lead to a loss of control. This may cause a
crash with injuries.
You should practice how to use a loaded
pannier
rack
safely and reliably before using the vehicle in
public spaces.
Crash caused by unsecured luggage
Loose or unsecured objects on the
pannier rack
, e.g.
belts, may become caught in the rear wheel. This may
cause a crash with injuries.
Objects which are fastened to the pannier rack may
cover the vehicle's
reflectors
and the
driving light
. The
vehicle may not be seen by other users on public roads
as a result. This may cause a crash with injuries.
Secure any objects which are attached to the
pannier rack
sufficiently.
Objects fastened to the
pannier rack
must never
cover the
reflectors
, the
headlight
or the
rear light
.
Crushing the fingers in the spring flap
The spring flap on the
pannier rack
operates with a high
clamping force. There is a risk of crushing the fingers.
Never allow the spring flap to snap shut in an
uncontrolled manner.
Be careful where you position your fingers when
closing the spring flap.
