3.3 Adjustments on the Unit
The stroke limiter (7) can be used to repeatedly extrude precisely metered amounts of glue.
Set the required amount of glue with the aid of the stroke limiter (7).
The stroke limiter can also be used to adjust the comfort of trigger (4) action.
3.4 Notes on Gluing
The surfaces being glued should be at room temperature and be free of dust, grease, and moisture.
Materials coated with or containing wax, separating oils, plasticizers, or impregnation agents may
cause the bond to come apart immediately or at a later date.
Apply the hot melt adhesive in either dot or bead form. Large dots retain their adhesive strength for
longer than small ones. Firmly press the materials together straight away for several seconds.
Slow, continuous extrusion will ensure that the glue does not fall below application temperature.
3.5 Breaks / End of Work
If no hot melt adhesive is required for more than 20 - 25 minutes, the unit must be switched off using
the ON/OFF key (8) of the temperature regulator (4).
The glue stick can remain in the unit for re-melting when the glue gun is used next time.
