Life Monitoring
The INFINIUM Tube Life Monitoring circuitry
continuously monitors the output tube biasing for
optimum performance and consistent tone, even as
the tubes age. When an output tube does need to be
replaced, the tube’s matching LED on the back panel
will light permanently.
This circuitry monitors each tube individually,
which means you do not need to purchase matched
tube sets. Each tube will operate at ideal current
levels regardless of deviations in the mains voltage.
When you do need to replace a tube, you may plug
in the new tube and immediately begin using the
amplifier; you will not need a technician to set up
the bias for the new tube. You may also freely mix
any combination of EL34/6550- and 6L6/5881-
based tubes.
To replace a faulty output tube:
1.
Switch off the amplifier and wait for
the output tubes to cool down to a safe
temperature before touching them.
2. Press down the tube retainer to the chassis
using two fingers of one hand, and then
gently pull on the tube while lightly rocking
back and forth until the tube loosens and
slides out of the socket.
3. Carefully insert the new tube, making sure the
new tube’s prongs are properly aligned with
the matching holes and the center coding pin
is aligned with the corresponding notch in
the socket.
4. Gently push the new tube until it seats firmly
in the socket.
5. Switch the amplifier back on in Standby mode.
6. When the tubes have warmed up to operating
temperature, you may switch the amplifier out
of Standby mode.

LEDs should now turn off, and you can
begin playing.
When one of the front panel lights starts flashing
regularly, this is to indicate the amp cannot work
due to too many tube issues. In this case we recommend
replacing the faulty power amp tubes immediately.

monitoriza de forma continua el bias de la válvula de
salida para asegurarle un rendimiento optimo y un
sonido consistente, incluso conforme las válvulas van
envejeciendo. Cuando una válvula de salida deba ser
sustituida, el piloto de emparejamiento de la válvula
en el panel trasero se iluminara permanentemente.
Este circuito monitoriza cada valvula de forma
individual, lo que hace que no sea necesario comprar
packs de válvulas emparejadas. Cada válvula
funcionara a su nivel ideal sea cual sea la desviación
del voltaje.
Cuando tenga que sustituir una válvula,
puede conectar la nueva y empezar a usar de
nuevo el amplificador de forma inmediata; no hará
falta que un técnico ajuste de nuevo el bias de la
nueva válvula. Además, puede mezclar libremente
cualquier combinación de válvulas con base en
EL34/6550- y 6L6/5881-.
Para sustituir una válvula de salida averiada:
1.
Apague el amplificador y espere hasta que
la temperatura de las válvulas de salida
se reduzca hasta un nivel seguro antes
de tocarlas.
2. Con dos dedos de una mano, empuje hacia
abajo la sujeción de la válvula (llévele hacia
el chasis) y después tire de la válvula a la vez
que la zarandea de un lado a otro con cuidado
hasta que se suelte y salga del conector.
3. Introduzca con suavidad la nueva válvula,
asegurándose de que sus bornes queden
perfectamente alineados con los agujeros del
conector y que el pin central esté debidamente
alineado con su conector.
4. Con cuidado empuje hacia abajo la nueva
válvula hasta que quede firmemente sujeta en
el conector.
5. Vuelva a conectar el amplificador y haga que
quede en el modo Standby (espera).
6. Una vez que las válvulas se hayan
precalentadas y hayan llegado a su
temperatura operativa óptica, puede activar
del todo el amplificador (desactivar el
modo Standby).
7. Los pilotos INFINIUM Tube Life Monitoring
deberían apagarse y ya podrá empezar a tocar.
Si una de las luces del panel frontal empieza a
parpadear regularmente, indica que el
amplificador no puede funcionar correctamente debido a
problemas con las válvulas. En este caso recomendamos
reemplazar inmediatamente las válvulas defectuosas.
