Parameters that affect the sensor detection features
The IS3W/TTS series sensors are microprocessor based devices capable of
detecting the number of twisting per second or the number of twisting per meter or
inch, signalling by means of Leds and Stop Output possible defect
(number of
twisting outside the minimum/maximum programmed range) :
The operation principle of the sensor is based on the image variation of the yarn
shape, detected by a tiny "camera" fitted inside the sensor itself.
The microprocessor embedded in the sensor, processes the images provided by the
"camera" through a special program loaded into the sensor memory, which is able
to control the twisting of yarn running inside the sensor and to detect / discriminate
the presence of the above mentioned defects. The variables of this program are
represented by the settings connected to the article which is being controlled, i.e.
the settings that can be
defined , changed and loaded into the sensors by means of
the SMART 200 TTS system:
SPEED (yarn collection speed in meters per minute)
TPX Max (max number of twisting per second,(meter)(inch))
TPX Min (min number of twisting per second,(meter)(inch))
SENS (sensor’s sensitivity)
FILTER (digital filter to reduce the hairiness effect)
TIME-ER (sensor’s reaction time in case of failure)
The quality control performed by IS3W/TTS sensors is also affected by other
factors such as:
TT/TB (Sensor working mode [either profile or balloon])
DELAY CONTROL (waiting time before starting the control process)
LOCK/UNLOCK (touch light button operating mode)
MONITOR/CONTROL (sensor operating mode)
MANUAL/AUTO RESET (sensor reset in manual mode or automatic mode)
STOP NO/NC (stop output operating mode)
STOP C/P (stop output as: continuous or pulse signal)
K FACT (correction factor)
SPEED
Is the yarn collection speed of the machine; the conversion from “twisting per
second” to “twisting per meter /inch” is performed using this parameter.
(programmable as: 1 m/min to 1000 m/min)
TPX-MIN
This function allows setting the minimum number of twisting, below which the
system will generate an error.
(programmable as: 1 to 1000).
The number of twisting (X) can be referred to Second (S) , Meter (M) or Inch (I).
TPX-MAX
This function allows setting the maximum number of twisting, above which the
system will generate an error.
(programmable as: 1 to 1000).
