To make a handsfree call
Dial the number
Press the
HANDSFREE
button.
The loudspeaker is switched
on and you hear the number
being dialled. The
HANDSFREE
button lights up while you are
using handsfree.
To switch back to using the
handset at any time, press the
GREEN PHONE
button.
Handsfree
Handsfree switches the handset
loudspeaker on, allowing you to talk to
your caller without holding the handset
and enabling other people in the room to
listen to the conversation. You can also
hear the dial tone without having to lift
the handset to your ear and your hands
are left free, for example, to take notes.
To adjust the handsfree volume
During a call:
Press the
HANDSFREE
button.
Press the
RIGHT/LEFT
navigation button to access
the menu.
Press the
DOWN
navigation
button to highlight
Handset
volume
.
Press the
OK
options button.
Press the
RIGHT/LEFT
navigation buttons to increase
or decrease the volume.
Press the
Save
options button
to save the volume level.
Press the
RED PHONE
button
until you reach the idle display.
Save
OK
To answer a call in handsfree
When the phone rings:
Press the
HANDSFREE
button.
The call is transferred to the
loudspeaker.
USING
To switch to handsfree during
a call
During a call you can switch to
handsfree mode:
Press the
HANDSFREE
button.
The call is transferred to the
loudspeaker.
Press the
GREEN PHONE
button to switch the call back
to the handset.
If the handset is on the
charger, simply lift it up and
speak. You do not need to
press the
GREEN PHONE
button.
This is called Autotalk. You
can switch autotalk off so you
always have to press the
GREEN PHONE
button to
answer a call, see page 45.
