8) Engine Temperature
Bar gauge that continuously indicates
the engine coolant temperature.
9) Digital Speedometer
In addition of the analog type
speedometer, vehicle speed can
also be indicated via this display.
Speed can be displayed in kilometers
(Km/h) or miles per hour (MPH). To
change units, refer to
SETTING MET-
RIC/IMPERIAL UNITS .
10) Cruise Control Indicator
Displays activation and setting of
cruise control.
11) Sport Mode (F3-S Models)
The VSS can help you control the direc-
tion of the vehicle and reduce the risk
of tipping or rolling over in some situ-
ations. However the VSS cannot help
you maintain control in all situations,
see
DRIVING AID TECHNOLOGIES .
If the sport mode is activated, the VSS
will allow significantly more rear wheel
spinning and higher vehicle slip angle,
thus requiring countersteering. More-
over, when this mode is activated,
traction control is essentially turned
off, meaning that rear wheel skidding
is not controlled even on lower friction
surfaces. This mode is most effective
on dry or wet asphalt. When this mode
is activated, the driver should be even
more careful than when normally driv-
ing the vehicle.
WARNING
You should familiarize yourself
with the basic operation of the
vehicle as well as vehicle han-
dling with the VSS before using
the sport mode. When using the
sport mode, always be aware of
your surroundings and of the vehi-
cle handling.
Activating the Sport Mode
To activate the sport mode make sure
that:
– The engine is running.
– There is only 1 person (operator) on
the vehicle and no weight on the
passenger seat.
– There are no active VSS fault codes.
NOTE: A flashing TCS_Off icon means
that one of these condition is not met
and the vehicle will not allow the sport
mode
Activating sport mode.
Press and hold the MODE button and
the UP arrow button for 2 seconds.
NOTE: Activation can be done while
vehicle is moving.
When the sport mode is selected, the
TCS_Off icon will light up in the mul-
tifunction gauge to indicate that the
mode is activated.

Deactivating the Sport Mode
To deactivate the sport mode, press
and hold the MODE button for 2 sec-
onds.
NOTE: The sport mode will be deacti-
vated when the ignition switch is set to
OFF.
