Hub/Blade Installation

SECTION 6 – Hub Install

Place the tree saw blade hub (

260-2041

) on the tapered shaft on the bottom of the overhung load

adapter while aligning the keyway slots that are on both (

Illustration 6-1

). With the keyway slots

aligned, fully insert 3/8” square key (

700-260-2005

) into the slot, and seat hub with hammer and hub

seating tool. Place the hub retaining washer (7

00-260-3630)

over the circular opening in the center

of the hub; apply blue Loctite to a 5/8-18 x 2” Gr. 8 bolt (

HC810F32Z

) and thread into center hole

of hub. Torque bolt to

106 ft/lbs

, re-seat hub with hammer and hub seating tool, and then torque to

106 ft/lbs

. again.

NOTE: DO NOT PROCEED TO NEXT STEP UNTIL YOU ARE CERTAIN THAT HUB HAS

BEEN SEATED PROPERLY.
