Maintenance Schedule
WARNING
Unintentional sparking can result in fire or electric
shock.
Fire hazard.
Contact with muffler area could cause burns resulting
in serious injury.
Some agricultural chemicals could be harmful if
inhaled or ingested, resulting in death, serious injury,
nausea, fainting or poisoning.
Chemicals could cause burns resulting in death,
serious injury and/or property damage.
Before performing adjustments or repairs:
• STOP engine
• Before performing adjustments or repairs, disconnect the
spark plug wire and keep it away from the spark plug.
• Use only original spare parts from the manufacturer or
approved by the manufacturer.
• Avoid serious burns. Allow all parts to cool before working
on machine.
• Always wearing safety glasses, protective clothing, safety
gloves, respiratory protection and substantial footwear.
Follow the hourly or calendar intervals, whichever occurs first.
More frequent service is required when operating in adverse
conditions noted below.
Daily
• Check/clean the sprayer tank strainer

• Clean for any debris
• Check the spray nozzle
Before use
• Inspect the whole unit for damage or leak
Every 50 Hours or Annually
• Clean or re-adjust spark plug gap. Replace if necessary
• Check the hoses and fittings

• Empty and clean the sprayer tank
• Empty the fuel tank
• Inspect all accessible fasterners. If loose - retighen/replace
• Inspect and clean air filter

• Inspect muffler for debris and damage. Replace if necessary
• Check pump oil level

Clean if clogged. Replace if damaged or torn.

Service more often under dirty or dusty conditions.
General Recommendations
Regular maintenance will improve the performance and extend the
life of the backpack sprayer. See any qualified dealer for service.
The backpack sprayer warranty does not cover items that have
been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To receive full
value from the warranty, the operator must maintain backpack
sprayer as instructed in this manual including proper storage as
detailed in the storage section of this manual.
Before Each Use
1. Clean debris.
2. Check the sprayer tank strainer and sprayer tank for debris or
damage.
3. Check all hoses and fittings for leaks or damage.
4. Check the grease cups.
5. Check spray nozzle.
6. Check pump oil level.

• Apply grease to the plunger every 3 hours of operation
