Bridgeview Manufacturing Inc.

Gearbox and Flail Replacement Procedure

Orient the gearbox depending on which model it is being installed on.

•

Clean the spline end of the rotor of any debris

•

Install the gearbox over the rotor spline and bolt to the tub

•

Orient the gearbox as shown below depending on the processor model

•

Install the breather as shown using teflon tape

•

If necessary, re-center the rotor in the tub so that the flails are centered between the
hoops/fine chop slots

Tighten lock collar counter-clockwise. Apply

loc-tite

to the set screw and torque

it to

100 in-lb

•

Fill gearbox with oil (GL5 80W-90) up to the bottom of the side plug (~500 mL)

•

Grease 80 pumps into the front zerk
