vehicle’s seat, if adjustable, is locked in the upright position. Make sure the vehicle’s
seat is set to the fully back position.

SEMI-UNIVERSAL category: using supplementary Isofix connectors
The Isofix connectors must be used to ensure greater stability of the child car seat.
ASTON b.fix is equipped with plastic runners (that you can use if your vehicle does
not have them) to facilitate insertion of the Isofix connectors in the correct position, in
correspondence with the anchoring points of the vehicle’s seat.
1. Secure the plastic runners on the anchoring points (Pic.7)
2. Simultaneously insert both of the child car seat’s Isofix connectors into the runners (Pic.8).
3. Snap both connectors into the Isofix anchoring points (Pic.9).
4. Important: verify that both connectors have been correctly fastened to the anchoring
points. You should hear two distinct “clicks”.
5. If the safety indicators (1) located on the sides of the Isofix connector unit are green,
the two connectors have been correctly fastened.
6. To properly complete the installation process, use the car’s seat belts in accordance
with the instructions provided in this book and based on your child’s weight.
Releasing the Isofix connectors
To release the Isofix connectors from the seat’s anchoring points, pull the two release
devices (2) as shown in Pic.10.
USING THE CHILD CAR SEAT
1. Place the child car seat on the appropriate seat in the vehicle, facing forward.
2. Ensure that the backrest of the vehicle’s seat, if adjustable, is locked in the upright
position.
3. Make sure the vehicle’s seat is set to the fully upright position.
4. Make sure the vehicle’s seat is set to the fully back position.
5. SEMI-UNIVERSAL category: Check to make sure that both Isofix connectors are
positioned and fastened properly.
6. Push the child car seat up against the back of the vehicle’s seat.
7. Place the child in the child car seat and fasten the safety harness, making sure
that both sections of the harness (lap and diagonal) are passed through the harness
guide on the armrest closest to the buckle of the safety harness (Pic.12).
