Turn on the power switch of the mount and advance the initial settings until the telescope’s
home position screen appears on the screen of the STAR BOOK TEN.

Turn the altitude adjustment handles so that the indicator of the altitude scale fits the latitude of your observing site. Unfastening one side of the
altitude adjustment handles will allow fastening the handles on the other side. The mount is set at an altitude of approximately 35 degrees at Vixen’s
factory.

While looking into the eyepiece of the polar alignment scope,
turn the polar scope body so that the engraved Big Dipper (or
Cassiopeia) on the reticle matches the Big Dipper (or Cassiopeia)
in the real sky.

While looking into the round transparent window for the polar alignment scope, on the declina-
tion body turn the declination body with the or direction key so that the polar alignment
scope can be seen in the window.
