18 Using the trinocular extension

The trinocular extension of the microscope was specially designed for C-mount threads. The included
photo adapter is additionally needed for the installation. For the camera installation proceed as fol-
lows:
1. Remove the dust protection cap from the trinocular head.
2. Screw on the photo adapter.
3. Screw a camera* with C-mount thread onto the photo adapter and turn it on.
4. Turn the photo adapter's focusing ring to focus the image. Most camera models can be adjusted
parfocal to the eyepieces when doing so.
5. Loosen the hexagon socket screw of the photo adapter with a suitable Allen wrench* to turn the
camera.
6. Re-tighten the screw after turning to fix the camera in the desired position.

19 Attaching optional accessories to the objective
tube
The objective tube is equipped with a M55 x 0.75 thread to mount auxilliary lenses* on it.
The outer notch on the objective ring can be used to attach a ring light*.

20 Cleaning and maintenance
– Protect the device against dust and moisture.
– Avoid putting fingerprints and equal contaminations on any optical surfaces.
– Make sure the residual moisture is fully eliminated before use.
– Disconnect the device from the power supply by pulling the power plug when it is not used or in
case of longer interruption of operation and before starting any work on maintenance and cleaning.
– Only use a dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. To avoid damaging the electronics, do not
use any cleaning fluid.
