Using Your Deep Fryer:
WARNING
: Never turn on the fryer with an empty OIL RESERVOIR and
make sure it is on a flat, heat resistant surface.
1. Pour approximately 6 cups of oil into the OIL RESERVOIR making sure
the oil has not passed the indicated MAX line.
2. You can rub a little oil on the Viewing Window to prevent condensation
and impede view.
3. Place the frying basket into the fryer and lower into oil. (See Figure 1). To
unlock the Handle slide the Handle Lock Release button towards you and
fold Handle back towards fryer exterior (Figure 2) and Close the Lid.
4.
Make sure the Fryer is in the “Off” position and insert plug into 120 Volt
AC outlet. Turn the Temperature Control to the desired temperature. The
Ready Light (Green) will come one when the temperature is reached.
Attention: First use may cause a slight odor or small smoking upon heating,
it is normal. This is a result of the heating element chemical reaction. It quickly
goes away.
5. Raise the Frying Basket and open Lid
6. Place food you would like to fry in the Frying Basket and carefully lower
into the oil. Close the lid and lower the Handle into its position.
NOTE:
Remove any excess ice crystals on frozen foods before placing in
the basket and do not throw food directly in oil without raising the Frying
Basket first as to avoid possible burns.
7. Cook according to instructions or use the Frying Guide in this manual.
NOTE:
This appliance is not equipped with a timer. You will need to
manually shut it off.
8. Open the Lid and Raise the Frying Basket. Let the fried food drain to
remove excess grease and retain crispiness. Lift the Frying Basket from
Fryer and
carefully
pour contents onto a plate that has been covered with
paper towels. This step removes excess oil before serving.
