Read this manual and become familiar with all safety precau-
tions, seat pre-operation notes, seat operating instructions,
and installation instructions before performing installation
procedures.
Remove any obstructions within the seat mounting/operating
area prior to beginning installation procedures.
A minimum of two people are required to place the seat in the
vehicle if a hoist is not available.
Route all cables clear of exhaust system, other hot areas,
moving parts, wet areas, etc.
Coil and secure excess power cable under Companion Seat,
under carpet, inside wall panel or other protected area - clear
of hot areas, moving parts or other potential hazards.

Risk of electrical shock or fire! Use extra care when making electrical connections. Con-
nect and secure as outlined in Installation Instructions and Wiring Diagrams.
Maintenance and repairs must be performed only by authorized service personnel.
Never modify (alter) a Braun Corporation Companion Seat.
Replacement parts must be direct Braun replacements.
Disconnect the power cable at the battery prior to servicing.
Never install screws or fasteners (other than factory installed).
The Companion Seat Owner’s / Installation manual must be in the Companion Seat
equipped vehicle when the consumer receives the Companion Seat.
Failure to follow these safety precautions may result in serious bodily injury and/or property
damage.
