Automation systems and traditional systems
The strength of home automation systems as compared to traditional system essentially lies in the level of
integration which can be achieved.
Home automation systems make it possible to have a single system that manages several technologies,
causing them to interact with a high level of synergy.
Suppose you want to create a system in which it is necessary to manage ambient lighting based on the time
or day or weather conditions, or that you want to manage the automations in the thermal zones of the home
so that if a window is open the heating does not come on, etc.
Thanks to home automation, the creation of a system like this is relatively easy and inexpensive because in
a single system all of the players can communicate with one another.
This is clearly impossible or at least very complicated in traditional systems, where integration cannot be
achieved except at a very low level and with costs due to necessary system duplications.
Suppose you want to create a scenario, i.e. a series of predefined operations, a distinctive characteristic of
home automation systems.
It is easy to imagine the difficulty of creating with traditional systems functions that are easily achievable
with home automation systems, not to mention the possible need to modify a preset scenario with the
implementation of alternative functions.
It is clear that in the case of traditional systems, it would be necessary to intervene on the physical system
with a substantial increase in general system costs, whereas with home automation it is sufficient to re-pro-
gramme the scenario.
Installation topologies
The installation topology is one of the strong points of Bpt technological systems.
There are no installation limitations generated by the technology used. You can create a mixed system that
includes all the types of communications wiring.
The network generated by the wiring of the Mitho system is with free topology.
It is possible to create bus, star, or tree wiring areas.
Regardless of the topology, there are no reductions in performance of the system, ensuring the highest
performance in terms of speed and distances if the correct means of transmission is used.
An enormous advantage is gained by the high degree of versatility that generates a non-binding topology
capable of adapting to all real system situations.
